Congratulations to the 2017-18 Student Bursary Recipients

APA's Indigenous Post-Secondary Student Bursary 2017-18 Recipient: Eliza Braden-Taylor

APA member Eliza Braden-Taylor from Curve Lake First Nation, who currently attends Sir Sandford Fleming College, has been awarded the 2018 Indigenous Post-Secondary Student Bursary.  Eliza has worked on archaeological field projects as a liaison for Curve Lake First Nation and has also worked at Petroglyphs Provincial Park. She intends to continue pursuing archaeology, Indigenous studies and natural resource management.

With strong recommendations from an instructor and an archaeological mentor, it is clear that Eliza is preparing herself for a bright future with her Nation's resource management.  Congratulations and best wishes, Eliza, from your fellow APA members!

APA's Post-Secondary Student Bursary 2017-18 Recipient: Daniel LaPierre

APA member Daniel LaPierre, who currently attends Trent University, has been awarded APA's 2018 Post-Secondary Student Bursary.  Daniel has worked on archaeological field projects and has assisted with lab work as well.  He intends to pursue archaeology as a career, with the next step being a Master's degree.

Daniel's academic and employer references provided clear support for his work and career path.  Congratulations on your achievements so far, Daniel, from your fellow APA members!
